Autery Weekes Bio

Autery grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and started his own recording studio in 2004. However, his journey started much earlier, when he began disk jockeying and setting up live sound systems back in 1995 at his high school, Clara Barton. From there, he handled sound for Flatbush YMCA functions, community events, and various local organizations. These early, hands-on experiences were vital because they taught him how to handle sound in the real world, helping him build the deep skills it requires to handle all aspects of audio production.

His music production journey officially began in 2004, deeply inspired by Brooklyn’s diverse, fast-paced culture and his own Caribbean roots from Carriacou, Grenada. His influences are wide-ranging, covering everything from R&B, rap, and hip hop to jazz, EDM, gospel, Latin pop, Reggaeton, soca, dancehall, and reggae. This unique mix of styles is exactly what shapes his sound today.
